Abstract

The new controllability tests of the pairs (f(A),MB).where f(A) is a function well-defined on the spectrum of the matrix A and M is a nonsingular matrix defined by (3.7) are proposed and illustrated by numerical examples. In the dual versions the tests can be used to test  the observability of the pairs(f(A,CM).
