APC Payment Regulations
The Journal of Automation, Mobile Robotics and Intelligent Systems (JAMRIS) is an open-access journal whose content is freely available to all readers.
The Article Processing Charge (APC) is charged only after external peer review has been completed and the manuscript has been formally accepted for publication. It covers the costs of publication, online hosting and long-term archiving.
There are no submission fees, page charges, colour figure charges or other publication fees. The APC applies to all article types published in JAMRIS.
Acceptance of the manuscript for publication gives rise to the author's obligation to pay the applicable APC. Upon acceptance, the author is required to pay the APC in full within fourteen (14) days. The APC must be paid before the article enters the production and publication process. Deferred or post-publication payments are not available, and an article will not proceed to publication until the full payment has been received.
Articles are published online on the journal’s website and in print. The expected time from payment confirmation to publication is up to 180 days. In exceptional cases, this period may be extended depending on the publication queue and the editorial schedule.
1. APC rates
The applicable APC is determined by the date on which the article was originally submitted to JAMRIS:
- articles submitted before 1 June 2025: no APC;
- articles submitted between 1 June 2025 and 31 December 2026: EUR 200;
- articles submitted on or after 1 January 2027: EUR 450.
The APC amounts indicated above include any VAT applicable under Polish tax regulations.
The increase in the APC from EUR 200 to EUR 450 was announced on 11 August 2026 and applies to articles submitted on or after 1 January 2027.
The applicable rate does not change if peer review, acceptance, payment or publication takes place after the introduction of a new rate.
JAMRIS does not offer APC waivers or discounts.
