Editorial Policies
The Journal of Automation, Mobile Robotics and Intelligent Systems (JAMRIS) is committed to maintaining high standards of editorial quality, transparency and research integrity. This page provides an overview of the journal’s editorial workflow.Detailed requirements are set out in the relevant sections of the journal’s website.
A. Editorial Workflow
1. Manuscript Submission
Manuscripts must be submitted through the JAMRIS online submission system. Submissions should be written in clear and correct English, present original research within the journal’s scope and comply with the journal’s formal and ethical requirements.
Authors must provide all files and information required during the submission process. For assistance, please contact the Executive Editor at office@jamris.org.
2. Preliminary Evaluation
Each submission undergoes an initial editorial assessment to verify its relevance to the journal’s scope, academic merit, completeness and compliance with basic editorial and ethical requirements.
Manuscripts that fall outside the journal’s scope, do not meet its scholarly or formal requirements, or raise concerns regarding originality may be declined without external peer review. Submissions are screened using the journal’s anti-plagiarism system.
3. Peer Review
Manuscripts that pass the preliminary evaluation are normally evaluated by at least two independent reviewers under a double-blind peer review model. The final decision on acceptance or rejection is made by the Editor-in-Chief on the basis of the reviews, editorial assessment and the journal’s standards. 4. Article Processing Charge
JAMRIS charges an Article Processing Charge (APC) only after a manuscript has successfully completed peer review and has been formally accepted for publication. No submission fee is charged.

5. Finalization and Publication
Accepted manuscripts proceed to copyediting, language editing and production. Authors receive proofs for approval and are responsible for checking all corrections and responding to editorial queries within the specified deadline.
Before publication, authors must sign the JAMRIS Licence to Publish and provide any outstanding files or information required by the editorial office. Once the production process has been completed, the article is published on the JAMRIS website and the publisher’s platform and is subsequently included in the relevant printed issue.
B. Additional Submission Information
6. Data Availability
To support transparency and reproducibility, authors are encouraged to include a Data Availability Statement indicating whether the data supporting the research are publicly accessible, available upon reasonable request or subject to legal, ethical, privacy or confidentiality restrictions.
Providing a Data Availability Statement is recommended but is not currently mandatory and does not affect editorial decisions.
7. Preprints and Prior Publication
JAMRIS accepts manuscripts that have previously been made available as preprints, provided that they are not simultaneously under consideration by another journal. The existence of a preprint must be disclosed at submission.
Authors should update the preprint record with a reference and link to the final published article where possible.
8. ORCID and Author Identification
Authors are encouraged to provide their ORCID iD during submission. ORCID supports accurate author identification, attribution and the quality of publication metadata.
