Authorship and Contributorship Policy
JAMRIS requires that all listed authors have made a substantial scholarly contribution to the submitted work and accept responsibility for its content.
To qualify for authorship, a contributor should meet all of the following criteria:
- have made a substantial contribution to the conception or design of the work, or to the acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of data;
- have participated in drafting the manuscript or revising it critically for important intellectual content;
- have approved the final version of the manuscript;
- have agreed to be accountable for all aspects of the work.
Contributors who do not meet the criteria for authorship should not be listed as authors. Their contribution may be acknowledged in the Acknowledgements section, where appropriate.
The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all eligible contributors are listed as authors, that no ineligible person is included as an author, that all authors have approved the submitted and final version of the manuscript, and that all authors agree to its submission to JAMRIS.
Any request to add, remove, or rearrange the order of authors must be submitted in writing and include a justification. Such changes require the agreement of all listed authors and, where relevant, the consent of the person being added or removed.
If an authorship dispute arises before or after publication, JAMRIS may suspend editorial or publication action until the matter is resolved by the authors and, where necessary, by the relevant institution or institutions. The journal does not adjudicate authorship disputes independently and may refer such cases to the appropriate institutions.
Ghost authorship, gift authorship, and other forms of inappropriate authorship are treated as publication ethics concerns
